History:
Since at least the early 2000’s Xerox supported Hispanic / Latinx in colleges and universities. There used to be a program called Hispanic College Liaison Program, where Xerox would support STEM students and provide thousands of dollars for the college tuition. Unfortunately, this program ended, even though Xerox continues to support through their philanthropy ways. This is one of the reasons, HAPA (Hispanic Association for Professional Advancement) felt the need to find a way to continue supporting Hispanic / Latinx students. HAPA is not a 501(C)3, so we decided to create a HAPA Foundation non-profit organization as a 501(C)3. Using our history, HAPA’s initiatives and the help from BWLC (Black Woman Leadership Council) Foundation, this lead to the HAPA Foundation.

Our mission is to support and empower young Hispanic / Latinx professionals in their educational and career pursuits by providing resources and opportunities for academic and professional growth.
